I've been re-reading the details of Martin and Jose Renteria's case, and I can't help but wonder about their choice of car. A 1978 silver Chrysler is a pretty distinctive vehicle, even for 1990, and it makes me think about whether their car was ever found or if anyone reported seeing it on their route from Santa Ana to Los Angeles. It’s always baffled me that such a noticeable car didn’t lead to more reported sightings or tips. Considering it was summer, maybe they stuck to major highways, or perhaps they ventured off onto more obscure routes to avoid traffic. There’s also the question of whether they intended to make stops along the way. If anyone has any fresh information or thoughts about the route they might have taken, it could be a crucial piece of the puzzle to examine further. Could a sighting or even a minor accident have been overlooked? Thoughts?
