Has anyone else been following the case of Vallerie Dossett? It’s been on my mind a lot lately, especially thinking about how her case lies within such a troubling trend in Detroit. I came across some information about the Cold Case Unit's effort in re-examining old evidence with new forensic advancements. It got me wondering if there could be more to uncover in Vallerie's case, considering advances in DNA technology and digital forensics. I truly feel for her family and friends who, after all this time, still don’t have answers. The persistent efforts of the Detroit Police Department to engage the community give me hope, but knowing the odds with so many unresolved cases in Detroit is concerning. It would be great if anyone from the local area could share if there have been any recent community meetings or initiatives aimed at increasing awareness or gathering more information. Every bit of effort counts when it comes to bringing justice for Vallerie and others.
