I’ve been following the tragic case of Calvin 'Wo-Wo' Everett Sr., and my heart goes out to his family, especially his mother, Dianne Everett, and his stepfather, Jeffery Smith. Losing a loved one in such a violent manner is something no family should have to endure. I can't stop thinking about Officer Michael Stalbert and Officer Kevin Doucette’s quick response. It’s somewhat comforting to know there were people nearby who immediately jumped into action upon hearing those gunshots. Their decision to run towards danger rather than away from it is commendable, and I hope it brings a little solace to Calvin's loved ones knowing that every effort was made to find the person responsible. This case is another stark reminder of the ongoing struggle against gun violence, which plagues too many communities. The discussion about increasing law enforcement and community involvement is crucial. Hopefully, solutions will be found to prevent more families from facing this pain.
