Has anyone else been following the shocking case of Sara LaMont and Wajih Mazloum? I can’t stop thinking about their friends and family, especially Sara’s mom, Roxane. Losing Sara is beyond words, and on top of that, the family had already faced such a tremendous loss before. I was thinking about the Tulane community and how this tragic event must have affected them. It’s terrifying to think about how something so awful happened right in the midst of their everyday environment. I hope that the counseling services offered by the university are being utilized and truly helpful to those who knew Sara and Wajih. It makes you wonder how many people had no clue about what was going on beneath the surface. This case really emphasizes the importance of reaching out and checking in with those around us, even if everything seems perfectly fine on the outside. If anyone has more information on how the university is managing this or how the community is doing now, I’d appreciate any updates. My heart goes out to everyone involved.

Has anyone else been following the heartbreaking case of Sara LaMont? I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of the university in situations like these. Tulane’s response seemed prompt, with President Fitts offering condolences and reminding students to access counseling services. But it makes me wonder, could more have been done before it got to this point? Universities are such unique communities where students often are away from their support systems. I can't help but think about the pressure law students face and the importance of having accessible mental health support. If any fellow students or alumni from Tulane are here, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how the university handled the aftermath or if there are ways they could strengthen their support networks. Sending all my positive thoughts to Sara’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

I can't stop thinking about Sara's bright future and the incredible goals she had set for herself. One aspect of this case that's been weighing on my mind is how a community like Tulane's could come together to support each other in such a difficult time. I read that Sara was not only admired for her academic achievements but also deeply loved by her friends and classmates. It's so vital that institutions provide the necessary resources and spaces for students to process such tragedies together. Tulane seemed to reach out with counseling, but it makes me wonder if we can ever do enough to prepare and support people when something this awful happens. It's important we keep talking about mental health and ensure that support networks are robust, so no one feels isolated or without options. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Sara.
