Did anyone else come across the community meeting notes from December 2016 after Laron Rogers' murder? There was some discussion about increasing neighborhood watches and collaboration between residents and Detroit PD. It seemed like many people in the community were really pushing for a stronger partnership to tackle the growing crime rates. I’m curious if those efforts have actually resulted in any positive changes over the years. I can only imagine the frustration and pain Laron’s family must be going through, all while dealing with the uncertainty of his case and the feeling that their voices might not be heard. If anyone has updates on how neighborhood groups have progressed since then, it would be great to hear!
