Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the role community support played in the aftermath of Will Smith’s passing. It’s truly amazing how his legacy has continued through the efforts of those who loved him and those who admired him from afar. Not only was he a phenomenal athlete on the field, but his dedication to uplifting New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina is something we can all appreciate and remember him for. It’s hard to imagine the pain that Racquel and the rest of the family have endured, but I find some solace in knowing that the support from the community and fellow Saints fans might have brought them some comfort during the most difficult moments. There were so many heartfelt tributes and gatherings that showed just how much he meant to the city. His impact was profound, and his memory continues to inspire acts of kindness and support. If there’s any silver lining, it’s seeing the way love and remembrance have united people in his name. Sending strength to all who knew him personally. It’s clear Will’s spirit is still very much alive in New Orleans. Would love to hear more stories about his community work if anyone has them to share!
