I’ve been following Carmell Smith’s case, and one thing that’s been haunting me is the absence of witnesses coming forward. It’s baffling and deeply frustrating, considering it happened around 5:30 p.m., likely when people were leaving work or heading home. The location near the Southfield Freeway isn't exactly secluded, and it makes me wonder how someone could carry out such a brazen act in a potentially busy area without being seen. I can understand the fear that might stop people from speaking up, especially with the violence we’ve been seeing in Detroit, but the community has to unite to bring justice for Carmell. Her family has been through an unimaginable ordeal since her tragic loss, and they deserve answers. It's time more voices join in, perhaps even anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Every little piece of information could be critical. Has anyone heard updates on potential leads, or if any awareness campaigns are ongoing to encourage witness accounts?
