I recently read about the vigil the community held for Antonio Newsom, and it really struck a chord with me. Seeing so many people come together to honor his life and support his family was moving. It’s clear that Antonio was loved and had a significant impact on those around him. It's so important for us as a community to stand by the family during this difficult time and work towards finding solutions to the violence affecting our youth. This kind of support can bring some solace to his loved ones and remind them they're not alone in this. Keeping Antonio’s memory alive and pushing for change is something we can all contribute to, even if it's just through small acts of kindness or advocacy.

Hey everyone, I was just reading about Antonio Newsom's case and felt compelled to join the discussion. I can't stop thinking about how the investigation led the police to C.E. Byrd High School. It's so unsettling to know that a place meant for learning turned into part of a crime scene. Schools should be safe havens for kids, not places tied to violence. It's scary to think about the fear and tension it must create for students going about their daily lives, knowing something like this happened so close to where they learn and grow. I truly hope that as a community, we can find effective ways to address and reduce the factors driving youth violence. It's heartbreaking to see such young lives caught up in these tragic situations. My thoughts go out to Antonio's friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. Might be a small comfort, but we're all thinking of them. Let's all try to support measures that ensure our kids feel safe when they step into their schools. Stay safe, everyone!
