I’ve been following Michael Shan Chien’s case for a while now, and something that's been nagging at me is the abandoned car found in Ventura. It’s like, why Ventura of all places? I know it’s not too far from Upland, but still, it's not like it’s on the way to anywhere notable from where he was. Was there something in Ventura that might have drawn him there—friends, a job prospect, or something else we’re missing? This has always felt like such a big clue that hasn’t been cracked yet. And the fact there was no sign of struggle makes it even more baffling. Could he have possibly chosen Ventura as a place to start fresh, or did something lead him there unexpectedly? Hoping any new insights will finally shed light on this mystery.
Has anyone looked into the fact that Michael's Nissan Maxima was found in Ventura? I'm curious if there's a reason he might have headed that way. It seems so out of the blue considering he was meant to go Christmas shopping with his family. Ventura isn't exactly close to Upland. Does anyone know if he had any friends or acquaintances there? Maybe it's someone who knew him from his past, or perhaps he was trying to start fresh? I feel like the abandonment of his car might hold some clues. Just trying to piece things together. Any thoughts on this angle?
