I’ve been following the Leroy Hamilton case and can’t stop thinking about the ripple effects his tragic death must have had on his loved ones. It’s truly devastating to consider how one moment of violence has likely shattered so many lives. I read a bit about the time and effort the Lafayette Police Department and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office are putting into this case, and I really hope that they are supporting Leroy’s family through this incredibly difficult time. It’s hard to imagine the pain they’re going through. I don't know them personally, but my heart goes out to them. It’s critical that communities come together to support families who are left to pick up the pieces after such a loss. Sending strength to those who knew and loved him.
