I keep thinking about Kenyi Kolok's family and how they must be feeling. Losing a loved one, especially someone so young and with such potential, must be unimaginable. The fact that Kenyi came all the way from Kampala to Baton Rouge for a better future makes this even more devastating. I’ve read that violence can sometimes be tied to lack of opportunities and resources for young people. Maybe if there were more community programs or support systems in place, these tragic events could be avoided. It's important for us to reflect on how society can provide guidance and open up safer paths for young men like Kenyi. My heart truly goes out to everyone who loved him. This is a profound loss, and I hope we can learn something meaningful from it.
