Has anyone been following the Denman case from 2017? I’ve been thinking a lot about the community's responsibility in protecting vulnerable individuals like Jerry. It's truly distressing to think about how someone with mental disabilities can be so exposed to danger, especially when factors like homelessness are involved. I even remember reading that he was known for riding around on a bright pink bike—such a recognizable detail. It just breaks my heart that something like this happened and there were likely people who might have seen him in the area that day.
I keep wondering what more could be done to prevent these kinds of tragedies. Are there any support networks actively working in Detroit to help people like Jerry? My thoughts are with his family as they continue to seek the justice he so rightly deserves. I hope that with community awareness and stronger protective measures, we can help prevent future incidents like this. Would love to hear any thoughts or information others might have.
