I’ve been following the Denise Williams case, and I can’t stop thinking about the courage she must have had to reconnect with her family after years of living under a different identity. It’s so tragic that her fears became a reality. I wonder what prompted her to live under a different name for so long and how she managed to stay hidden. This case makes me reflect on all the complexities of someone’s life that we might never understand from the outside. Sending love to her family and everyone who cared for her - I can't imagine how shocking it must have been to learn she was alive only to lose her so soon after. It’s important that more awareness is raised around protecting those who are most at risk and ensuring their safety.
