I’ve been following the case of Elizabeth Hope Keller, and it’s so frustrating how little progress there seems to be in finding justice for her and so many others. I remember reading about another unsolved case from the same year in Oakland, and it seems like the common thread is the challenges the police face, especially with getting witnesses to come forward. I completely understand why people might be scared, given the environment in East and West Oakland, but it's so hard to accept that killers may still be out there. Does anyone else think increased community support and outreach could help bring new leads in these cases? My heart goes out to Elizabeth’s friends and family; I hope they see some resolution soon. If anyone has ideas on how communities can better support families and encourage witnesses to speak up, please share!
