Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Shallerhorn case and wanted to touch on something that’s been bothering me a lot. It’s about the role of witness testimonies in the case. It seems like there have been conflicting accounts from people in the area at the time of the shooting. Some reports are suggesting that Ronnie wasn't alone, and it might not have been a straightforward incident as initially thought.
I can't imagine the pressure and stress this must place on his family. They’re left trying to make sense of a tragedy compounded by so many unanswered questions. The fact that the legal process is focused not just on one, but possibly more people who might have had a hand in this, complicates things even more. The involvement of multiple parties makes me wonder how many people might have seen or heard something significant, yet haven’t come forward or have been overlooked.
I'm really hoping anyone who knows something will step up. Every detail might be crucial to uncovering the truth and bringing closure to his loved ones. It can't be easy to live with the uncertainty of not knowing exactly what happened to a family member.
Sending strength to Ronnie’s family and hoping for some clarity soon.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
I am his family and I can tell you this the NOPD knows exactly who was in the car and who committed the crime but they keep saying that there's not enough solid evidence but yet here we are 6 years later and every year that goes past we have lost opportunity to collect evidence such as footage from the crime cameras at the NOPD had install back there such as footage from the surveillance cameras from the days before or days after to see if that car is back on camera anywhere or footage from one of the two gas stations back there because they would have had to go to one of those with that car to get gas at some point but the NOPD did not do their jobs because of detective who is on this case was too busy being a star on the first 48 and making a Rap cd. So unfortunately due to the neglect in the beginning of the investigation unfortunately will probably never be solved and his now 15-year-old daughter will continue to hate every holiday centered around fathers because her father was taken from her and his killer is still walking around

About the detective prioritizing media appearances or personal ventures over his duty is especially troubling. Families should never have to suffer because those tasked with protecting the public are distracted or disengaged. The loss of a loved one is already a lifetime of pain—but knowing that justice was within reach and not pursued properly adds another unbearable layer.

Your mention of his daughter is a powerful reminder that the impact of violence ripples through generations. Every birthday, Father’s Day, and holiday becomes a wound reopened. She—and your entire family—deserve better than silence and excuses.
