I’ve been following Turhan Clay’s case since it happened, and it’s deeply unsettling to think about how many cases like this remain unsolved. Detroit has seen so many families suffer from gun violence, and it’s infuriating how the cycle just keeps going. I can’t imagine the pain Turhan’s family must be going through, waiting for answers that might be out there but are just beyond reach.
What’s really bothering me is how people close to the scene might not speak up due to fear of retaliation or distrust of the system. It’s understandable, but it leaves people like Turhan’s family in this endless limbo. If only there were a way for people to feel safer and confident in coming forward.
There’s a lot of talk about needing modern forensic techniques, which seem promising. Perhaps if resources were increased, they could make a breakthrough. Has anyone here seen improvements in other places with similar issues after adopting new tech or strategies? It's so disheartening on many levels, but I still hope that one day the family finds the justice they’re pleading for.
