Hi everyone, I’ve been following David Lee Holmes’ case, and something that struck me is the lack of witnesses or immediate tips despite the fact that the shooting occurred in a relatively populated area under an overpass. I wonder if the sound of gunshots may have been mistaken for something else, which is why there was a delay in calls to police. It’s frustrating to think that in such a closely-knit community, where folks seem to know each other well, no one could provide a lead that could break the case wide open. It’s heartbreaking for the family that they’ve had to endure this uncertainty for so long. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they’re going through, not just losing someone so dear, but also the lack of answers. If anyone has ideas about why there might be this silence, or if there’s any way the community can be further prompted to come forward, please share. Justice for David and peace for his family feel overdue.

I recently came across the case of David Lee Holmes from Kenner, and while the investigation has been ongoing, I'm curious about the community's response in the aftermath. It seems like David was quite well-known in the area, which makes me wonder about the impact on local businesses and day-to-day life there. Does anyone know how the community has been coping or if there have been any local initiatives, like community watch programs or safety meetings, that were developed as a result of his tragic murder? It must be incredibly challenging for his family and friends, not only dealing with their loss but also the uncertainty surrounding the case. Hoping there are ways people have come together to support each other and perhaps create some positive change in the face of such a terrible event. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
