Has anyone else heard more about the memorial events organized for Deshun Cook, aka "Sky Baby"? It’s just so touching how his family and friends have come together to honor his life and dreams. I read that they’ve been holding gatherings at the site of the shooting where they've placed flowers, candles, and personal items in his memory. It's incredibly moving to see a community rally together like this, especially when it involves someone like Deshun who had aspirations of making it big with his music and dance. I can't imagine how his children and family must feel, but seeing this support must provide some solace knowing how much he was loved and admired. If anyone plans to attend future vigils or events, please share your experiences. I'm sure many of us would love to continue showing support in any way we can.
I’ve been following Deshun Cook’s case closely, and something that struck me deeply was the role his sister, Judnissia, played in those harrowing moments after the shooting. I can't even begin to imagine the shock and pain of finding a loved one like that. It just shows the unimaginable trauma that families have to endure in the aftermath of such violence. I think it’s important to remember not just the victims but also the family members who are left picking up the pieces. Her strength and her resolve to fight for justice for her brother are truly admirable. I hope the justice system supports her efforts and brings some semblance of peace to all of Deshun’s family. ? It’s crucial for us to support them in any way we can, whether it’s spreading awareness or attending community events in his honor.
