I've been following the heartbreaking case of Chaz Carpenter, and my thoughts keep going back to the impact this must have on the surviving brother. It's difficult to even imagine the weight of such an accident on a young child. At 11 years old, you're still just beginning to understand the complexities of life, let alone something as traumatic as this. I hope his family and the community are providing him with the support and guidance he needs as he navigates through this difficult time. Perhaps, as a society, we need to reflect on how we talk to kids about safety and responsibility to help prevent future incidents. My heart goes out to everyone involved.
