Has anyone else noticed how details about Sean Barrette’s mental health history have been emerging in the trial coverage? It’s unsettling to think that someone with such serious issues wasn’t more closely monitored or given the help he clearly needed. Nicky’s death was incredibly senseless, and it just makes me think about how much we need to improve mental health care and intervention. It’s truly terrible how these failures impact not just the individuals, but innocent families who then lose someone so dear. My heart goes out to the Robeau family, who must be grieving Nicky’s loss while also dealing with the horror of the circumstances. Does anyone think this case might lead to changes in how mental health issues are handled legally or by local services?
