I can’t even begin to imagine the pain Sabrina is going through—not only recovering from such an ordeal but also dealing with the loss of her friend Sherrol. What really gets to me is the emergency call that went unanswered. It makes me wonder how many other calls for help are missed, and why the system couldn’t step in to prevent this tragedy. Sabrina showed immense courage trying to protect Sherrol and her child, and she’s still fighting every day for her own child. My heart truly goes out to Sherrol’s family and friends. I hope this case can bring more awareness to the need for better support and protection for survivors of domestic violence. We owe it to them to try and fix these gaps in the system so they aren’t let down when they need help the most.
