I’ve been reading about the case of De'omaante Khalil Wanya Frank, and it's just so incredibly sad. What really struck me was how involved he was with his community and his church. It seems like he had a strong, positive presence in Eunice, and it's so painful to think about all the good that’s been lost with his passing. One thing I’ve been wondering about is the impact this has had on students and parents at Central Middle School where the shooting happened nearby. I can only imagine how traumatic it must have been to have the school go on lockdown like that, especially knowing it was tied to such a violent incident right outside their doors. If anyone from the community is on here, how has the school coped with all of this since then? I hope they’ve received the support needed to start healing from that day. Thinking of De'omaante’s family, especially his young daughter, during what must be an incredibly difficult time. No child should have to grow up without a parent, and it's hard to grasp the depth of their loss. Hoping there is justice and peace somehow found through all this.

I can't stop thinking about how De'omaante should have been watching his daughter, Jaylin, grow up and hit all those milestones. It's so unfair that Jaylin will have to navigate life without her dad. No child should ever have to endure such loss. I'm sending all my love to her and the rest of De'omaante's family. It must be incredibly tough to move forward after losing someone so full of life and potential. His presence clearly brightened the lives of so many in the community and church. Absolutely tragic that a senseless act of violence could steal that light away. If anyone has information about support groups or foundations set up in De'omaante's name, that'd be a wonderful way to honor his memory and help his family.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following De'omaante’s case since it first happened, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact this tragedy had on his young daughter, Jaylin. She was so little when all of this unfolded, and growing up without her dad is going to be incredibly tough. I can’t imagine what Lakeisha and Shannon are going through trying to explain this senseless act to her or how they are planning to keep her father’s memory alive in her heart. The community could step up here—maybe setting up some kind of trust or scholarship fund in De'omaante’s memory to support Jaylin as she grows up. It would be a way to honor his life and help his family feel some solidarity and support from us all. I also think about how important it is to address the gang activity that's affecting our communities. We need to find ways to make our streets safer for everyone, so no more families have to endure this kind of pain. Sending love and strength to De'omaante’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone has ideas on how we can show our support for Jaylin and the family, let’s come together and make it happen. Stay safe, everyone.
