I’ve been following the discussion about the tragedies linked to Lawrence Mills, and I can’t stop thinking about Carrole White and the pain her family must be going through. I really admire how they managed to display strength and demand justice in the face of such an unimaginable situation. It's horrifying to learn about the way Mills targeted these women and used his car as a weapon – the sheer cruelty of it is beyond comprehension.
One thing that hasn’t been talked about much is the role of forensic genealogy in catching Mills. It’s a relief that something like this exists because it shows there’s hope for justice, even if it takes years. But why did it take so long to connect the dots here in Detroit? It’s scary to think about the time gap and how many more lives could have been affected.
My heart goes out to Carrole's family and everyone else affected. I hope they find some sense of peace knowing that Mills won’t be able to hurt anyone else. It’s also a reminder of the importance of supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring these cases receive the urgency and attention they deserve from the get-go.
I can't stop thinking about Carrole White and the other victims of Lawrence Mills III. It's beyond tragic how individuals who were already vulnerable were preyed upon in such a brutal manner. Carrole's family must have endured so much anguish, waiting for justice and answers. Using a vehicle to carry out these horrifying acts indicates a calculated and chilling mindset on the part of Mills. I can't begin to understand the terror these women experienced. It's a small relief knowing Mills is now behind bars, but the impact on the families and the community is likely everlasting. Sending my deepest sympathies to Carrole's loved ones and hoping some peace comes with knowing Mills will serve a lengthy sentence. Would love to hear how the community in Southwest Detroit has been coming together since these events. Has there been support for the families or any initiatives to protect vulnerable residents?
I can’t stop thinking about the role that forensic genealogy played in finally apprehending Lawrence Mills. It’s amazing how far technology has come and how it can be used to bring justice, even years later. I can only imagine what Carrole’s family went through during those years of uncertainty, without knowing who was responsible for taking her away from them. The fact that forensic genealogy was a key factor in solving this case gives me hope that other unsolved cases might find resolution in the future as well. It’s so important that we keep pushing for advancements in these methods to help bring some peace to families affected by such tragedies. My heart goes out to Carrole’s loved ones, and I hope they can find some solace in knowing that the person responsible is now behind bars.
