I've been reading up on the tragic case of Jason Staples, and something that really caught my attention were the bullet holes found in the stop sign near where his body was discovered. It's eerie to think that these shots were fired at such a public place—what was Timothy Howell thinking? Was it some sort of impulsive act, or was there more behind this location choice? My heart goes out to Jason’s family. With each new piece of evidence, it must have been unbearable to process the loss of their loved one in such a violent way. I hope they eventually found some peace knowing justice was served, although I can't begin to imagine the pain they continue to endure. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect of the case, or the trial itself?
