I've been following the case of Lloyd Vanderhost Sr., and I can't stop thinking about the safety concerns it brings up for the Treasure Street neighborhood. It's truly unsettling to know that a beloved community member could be targeted in such a violent manner. Many of us take comfort in thinking that our homes are our safe havens, and this incident really challenges that notion. It's such a huge loss for those who knew Lloyd—he sounded like a pillar of the community, always willing to lend a hand. While it's reassuring to know there's ongoing legal action, I hope it also prompts more efforts to enhance neighborhood security and foster stronger community ties. My thoughts are with Lloyd's family as they navigate this painful process.
