I've been following the case of Lucille Patriquin's murder with a heavy heart. Something that's been on my mind is how the use of modern DNA testing played a pivotal role in finally bringing her family some justice. It’s astounding how technology has advanced to the point where it can breathe new life into old cases. Forensic science has come so far since 1970, and it's giving hope to countless families who have spent decades in the dark. I can’t help but imagine the relief and perhaps mixed emotions that Lucille’s family must be feeling now that they have some answers. Here's hoping that other cold cases benefit from these advancements too, and more families can find some peace after so many years of uncertainty.
