Has anyone looked into the local wildlife situation around St Matthew Island during the time Tom Grissom went missing? I did a bit of reading, and it seems the waters around the island can be pretty treacherous due to currents. Plus, there seems to be a notable presence of sea lions and other sea creatures. Could it be possible that they played some role in preventing Tom from making it to shore? Maybe the area where the skiff overturned had strong underwater currents that made it impossible for him to swim to safety. It makes me wonder if there’s more to the natural environment there that might give us clues about his disappearance.
Hey everyone, I've been following Tom Grissom's case and something that I've been pondering about is the weather conditions around St Matthew Island on the day he went missing. I read somewhere that the waters can be quite unpredictable that time of year. Does anyone have any information on whether there were reports of strong currents or changes in weather that might have made it more difficult for Tom to reach the shore compared to the other passengers? It's such a remote area, and I wonder if the search efforts were hindered by Mother Nature. Would appreciate anyone's input or resources that could give more insight into the search circumstances.
