Hey everyone,
I wanted to bring up something I've been thinking a lot about lately in Willy Gilbert's case. I know we're all trying to piece together what might have happened to him, but I keep coming back to the lack of witnesses or people coming forward. Oakland isn't exactly quiet at night, so it's hard to wrap my head around nobody having seen or heard anything useful.
Have there been any discussions or theories about whether people in the area might be hesitant to speak up due to fear of retaliation? It's just so sad to think that loved ones are left with unanswered questions because people might feel unsafe coming forward.
My heart goes out to Willie’s family and friends. I can’t imagine the pain of not knowing. Perhaps community programs could help people feel more secure sharing what they know? Would love to hear thoughts from others.
Stay safe, everyone.
I've been reading about Willie Gilbert's case, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends. It's been so many years, and I can't imagine the pain of not having answers. I recently read that there have been some community efforts to address the broader issue of gun violence in Oakland since his murder. It's hopeful to see neighbors coming together, but frustrating that Willie's case hasn’t been solved. If anyone can share more recent updates or any initiatives in Willie's name, it would be greatly appreciated. It’s important that his memory continues to push for positive change.
