Having lived in New Orleans for a number of years, I am deeply saddened by what happened to Djuan Brown and the other victim in that tragic double shooting. It's hard not to imagine the ripple effect this must be having on the community and Djuan's loved ones. What really got to me is thinking about the complexity involved in such investigations. The NOPD and U.S. Marshals seemed relentless in ensuring justice was served, despite the enormous risks involved. With the community's support, maybe things can start to improve. Holding onto hope that one day these violent crimes will become a thing of the past. Anyone else feel a sense of responsibility to better support our community and law enforcement efforts?
