Does anyone here have thoughts on the safety improvements needed in the St. Roch neighborhood? It's been nearly two years since Ronnie Bonilla was senselessly killed, and I can't help but wonder about the broader safety issues at play here. His death was an awful reminder of the violence that can erupt without warning in our communities. We've all seen how the area can be risky, especially around Franklin Avenue, and it's troubling that no arrests have been made.
It's so frustrating to think about the pain that Ronnie’s family is still enduring. They deserve answers and closure, but it feels like the neighborhood itself needs more focus on safety to prevent future tragedies like this. Have any locals noticed increased police presence or neighborhood watch initiatives since the incident? Hoping something positive can come from this awful situation.
I just came across an article about Ronnie Bonilla, and it's been on my mind since. It’s so deeply unsettling that over two years have passed without any arrests in his case. I can’t imagine the pain his family must feel, living each day without answers and with the person responsible still out there. The St. Roch neighborhood, with its unique vibe, must be reeling as well.
Has there been any talk from locals about potential leads or anything off about that evening? It's frightening to think that a murder in such a tight-knit community could go unsolved for so long. I really hope someone comes forward with the information needed to help the NOPD bring some closure to Ronnie's family. Anyone nearby notice if there's still activity around gathering tips or if Crimestoppers has been mentioned recently in community meetings?
