I've been thinking a lot about how the detectives handle cases where dementia is involved. In Patricia's tragic death, it's really concerning to think about how Marvin's mental state could have played a role. Dementia can seriously affect judgment and behavior, and that's terrifying when weapons are in the home. I've read that sometimes family members might not even be aware of how advanced the dementia has become because the changes can be gradual. This makes me wonder how families can be supported better in situations like this, and how tragic accidents might be prevented. My heart goes out to Patricia’s family; navigating such complex emotions and legal proceedings must be so challenging.
