I keep thinking about the impact this incident had on the students and staff at Vidalia Junior High School. It must have been terrifying for everyone to hear that the school was in lockdown and to not know what was happening right nearby. Events like this can really rattle a community, especially when they involve someone so young and close to home. I truly hope the school offers support to help everyone process what happened. It's crucial that we take care of the kids' emotional well-being in times like these. My thoughts are with Nicholas Brown's family as well as the young people who had to experience that fear so close to their school.
