I’ve been thinking a lot about the traffic around 619 Cummins Highway on February 10, 2010. It was right around school dismissal time, so I'm curious if anyone noticed unusual vehicular activity or someone acting suspiciously before or after the tragedy occurred. Surely there must have been people coming and going, parents picking up kids, or just everyday commuters. It's hard to imagine how such a senseless act of violence could go unnoticed in a busy area. My heart goes out to Deyquan’s family and friends—losing someone so young is unimaginable. I hope anyone who was in the area that day and saw something, no matter how small, finds the courage to speak up. Maybe there's justice waiting to be served if just one more person comes forward.
