I can't stop thinking about Dale Winter and what she must have gone through after Big Jim's murder. They'd only been married for three weeks! Can you imagine planning your future with someone, then suddenly they're gone, and not just gone, but murdered in such a brutal way? I've read that she was a singer, and I wonder if her art helped her cope with the loss or if it became too painful a reminder. In the criminal world he was involved in, it seems like there was always a risk, yet that doesn't soften the blow when it happens. My heart goes out to her and whatever family of his is still around. Such a tragic part of this dark story.

Has anyone else thought about the tragic timing of Big Jim's assassination? Just three weeks after marrying Dale Winter, he was gunned down. It makes you wonder about the immense shock and sorrow she must have felt, having her life turned upside down so quickly. To go from a newlywed singer making plans for the future to a widow caught in the middle of a criminal empire's upheaval is unimaginable. Plus, this timing seems almost too calculated, like it was meant to send a specific message. While everyone focuses on Torrio and Yale, I find myself thinking about what Dale was going through at that moment. Anyone else have thoughts on how deeply this must have impacted her, and whether her perspective could shed light on the case?

I’ve always been intrigued by the dynamics between Johnny Torrio and Big Jim Colosimo, especially considering Torrio’s eventual rise to power. Was there ever any indication that Colosimo suspected Torrio’s ambitions? It's hard to imagine working so closely with someone who might be plotting against you. Given Colosimo’s established network and the people he surrounded himself with, I wonder if there were any red flags he might have missed. It's a chilling reminder of how trust can be a fatal flaw in the world of organized crime. Thinking about how Colosimo had just gotten married makes everything even more tragic for those who cared for him. Such a sudden, violent end. Does anyone else have thoughts on how Torrio managed to keep his intentions hidden until that fateful day?
