Hey everyone,
Something that's been sticking in my mind about Jerome "Butta" Lassiter's case is the way his past is being repeatedly brought up in discussions about his murder. I get that his prior convictions might be part of the investigation angle, but I feel like it overshadows the fact that he was trying to build a better life at the time of his death. Working at Prime Honda and caring for his sons shows a different side of him that doesn't seem to get enough attention.
It's just so sad to think that his two young boys will grow up without their dad. The older one might have some memories, but the younger one, at just seven months old... he's never going to know his father beyond stories and pictures. I can't imagine how hard that is for them and for his family trying to piece everything together while they grieve his loss.
I hope more people realize there's more to the story than just the bad choices he made when he was younger. Maybe if the focus shifts to who he was trying to become, it could lead to a better understanding of what really happened and why. Anyone else got thoughts on this?
