Hey everyone, I just keep thinking about the bravery of Officer Eric Lee and his partner, Andre Green, on that night in August 2001. It's a reminder of the risks that law enforcement officers face every day to keep us safe. Officer Lee was in plain clothes, but he and Officer Green still acted quickly and decisively when they saw someone in trouble. It's hard to imagine the courage it took for them to approach such a volatile situation without backup immediately present. I've read that Officer Lee was deeply committed to his community and that he specifically chose a tactical role, knowing how dangerous it could be. That's real courage, and it speaks volumes about his character and dedication. My thoughts are with his family, especially his young daughter who had to grow up without her dad. If anything, I hope this reminds us to appreciate those who serve and protect and to offer support to their families who sacrifice so much as well. If anyone has more info about community efforts or memorials in Officer Lee's honor, please share. It would be great to hear about how the community came together after this tragedy.
