I’ve been following the case of Jamaal Moore Sr. for a while now, and something that stands out to me is the role community activism played in reopening the investigation. It’s really something how the persistence of his family and local activists kept the pressure on until the case was reviewed again. I've read how challenging it is to get cases like these reopened, especially when initial investigations seem closed. It shows just how vital community voices can be in advocating for justice and accountability when systems seem to fail. I can't imagine how demanding it must have been for Jamaal's family to keep pushing forward, but their determination has hopefully started to pave the way for greater scrutiny in similar cases. My heart goes out to them; their strength is truly commendable.
