Has anyone else been looking into the details of the break-in at Cody's family's cabin? I’ve been thinking about that part of the case recently. It's puzzling to me that Cody mentioned something worth $18,000 was taken. That’s quite a haul. It makes me wonder if it could be connected to his disappearance somehow. Maybe someone didn't want him snooping around asking questions afterward?
I know the authorities ruled out foul play and think it was a hiking accident, but the timing feels too coincidental. And then the wildfire destroyed the cabin, so I guess any evidence that could've been left from the break-in is long gone. Just curious if anyone else has thoughts on this or knows more details.
I've been following Cody's case for a while now, and one thing that keeps bothering me is the timing of that break-in at his family's cabin. It seems strange that someone would target it so soon before his disappearance. Was it random, or could there be more to it? Possessions valued at $18,000 aren't insignificant, and I'm curious if the authorities ever considered if there might be a connection between the theft and his disappearance. Possibly even someone who knew he'd be sticking around there for the summer?
I know there's speculation about a possible mishap on the hike, especially considering the wildlife in the area, but I keep circling back to that robbery. Could someone have been watching the cabin, knowing Cody's routine? I wonder if there were any other burglaries reported in the area around that time, or if anyone suspicious was hanging around. It's an angle I'd love to know more about, as it could be a lead worth revisiting. Thoughts?
