I’ve been following Kevin Bonine’s case for a while, and something that stands out to me is the timing of his disappearance. He went missing right around mid-June, which got me thinking about the weather and how it might have impacted his movements. Kansas City around that time can be pretty unpredictable; it could be hot and muggy, or there could be storms rolling through. If Kevin was disoriented and without his medication, those environmental factors could have played a big role in which direction he headed and his subsequent survival.
It’s been so many years, and I still wonder if there’s any chance he found shelter somewhere that hasn’t been checked yet. I’m curious if any locals noticed anything unusual back then. Did anyone see someone matching his description seeking refuge? It’s situations like these that make public input so crucial. Hopefully, someone remembers something that could shed light on his whereabouts.
Does anyone else find it odd that there were no reported sightings of Kevin Bonine after June 13, 2014, given how busy that area usually is? It's been years, but this case has always been on my mind. Booth Avenue isn't exactly remote, and you'd think with his distinctive appearance and him not having his schizophrenia medication, someone would have noticed something unusual. It makes me wonder about possible surveillance footage in the area back then. Did the authorities or family ever get access to any nearby cameras? It seems like that could have provided some leads if available. Would love to hear if anyone's dug into that aspect of his disappearance or knows more about it.
