Just recently, I came across a news clip about Martia Flint and her family, and it mentioned that her dear friend, Sandra, started a small memorial garden in their honor. It's in a little corner of their old neighborhood park where Martia used to take her boys to play. I was deeply moved by how the community rallied together to maintain it, planting new flowers each season and adding painted stones with messages of love and remembrance. It seems that even though time has passed, the community's love for Martia and her family continues to thrive. It's heartening to see that in the midst of such a tragic event, there's a shared commitment to remembering the beautiful souls lost that winter night. Does anyone live nearby and have more to share about the memorial? Would love to hear how it's evolved over the years.
