I was reading about Troi Mays-Jesurum's case, and his story got me thinking about the vital role that community involvement plays in solving these awful crimes. It's really inspiring to see how the Boston community came together to assist the police in bringing justice to Troi. It's a painful reality that violence was so prevalent in the city that year, but knowing that people stepped up and provided crucial information to catch those responsible gives me hope. Cases like Troi's highlight how we all have a stake in making our neighborhoods safer. I wonder how things are now in Boston regarding community and police relations. Are there still initiatives in place to keep this spirit of collaboration alive?
