Has anyone else looked into the community response around Amon Shannon's murder? It's been over eight years since that tragic day in July 2015, and I'm curious about how the local community is rallying around his family for support and justice. From what I've seen, the city has a lot of amazing grassroots organizations trying to make a difference, but it seems like there are so many hurdles in cases like these. It’s frustrating and must be incredibly painful for those who knew and loved Amon. I truly hope that with more awareness and community involvement, we can help bring some closure to his family. If anyone has any updates or knows of any efforts currently underway, please share. We need to keep his story alive and push for justice.

It's frustrating to see such a tight-knit community be shaken by a tragedy like this and still have no answers over eight years later. It seems like there was so much potential for witnesses or someone who might know something to come forward, but yet, here we are. I really feel for Amon's family and friends—they deserve closure. It's crucial for us as a community to keep sharing Amon's story and encouraging anyone with even the slightest bit of information to reach out to the authorities. I was reading about Amon Shannon's case and find myself deeply troubled by how many cases like his have yet to find justice. The fact that so little is known about what happened to him is frustrating and deeply concerning. I understand these investigations can take time and resources, but it’s painful thinking about his loved ones waiting for answers. Does anyone else feel like there needs to be more community involvement or perhaps an increase in resources directed towards solving these cold cases? I know the Chicago Police Department is doing what they can, but maybe more awareness and community pressure could help. Sending thoughts to Amon's family – no one should have to endure the pain of losing someone without answers. If anyone has more information or ideas on how to assist, please don’t hesitate to share. ?️
