Hey everyone, I’ve been following Wesley Kelly's case since it was first reported, and what's been really eye-opening is how his death has sparked conversations about the role of community-led safety initiatives. It’s like, after such a terrible event, the neighborhood is asking itself how to better protect its residents and prevent something like this from happening again. There have been talks about increasing neighborhood watches and organizing more community events to strengthen bonds in the area. The idea is that if more people know each other, it might help deter violence and create a safer environment in general. I think it’s a testament to the resilience of a community fighting back against the fear that these tragically senseless acts breed. My heart goes out to Wesley’s family. I truly hope these efforts do bring about some positive change, though it’s so sad that it takes something like this for people to come together and think of ways to help. Does anyone have updates on what steps have been taken so far, or how the community initiatives are panning out? Would love to hear more about what’s being done. Thanks!
