Did anyone else catch the detail about Joshua’s Scarpa boots? I find it intriguing because those boots are pretty durable and well-suited for mountainous terrain. It makes me wonder how experienced hikers like him can still face such tragic outcomes. It echoes previous cases where experienced outdoors people tragically went missing. Could there be specific routes or trails near Spanish Fork Peak that are more dangerous than commonly known? Or perhaps an unexpected weather condition on the day he went missing that might not have been well-documented? Would love to hear thoughts or insights from anyone familiar with that area!
I’ve been following the case of Joshua Clarke and something caught my attention that I haven’t seen discussed much. Has anyone else noticed that he was last seen on March 12, but his body wasn't found until almost three months later in a relatively remote area? I’ve been thinking about the challenges of using drones in search and rescue efforts. I know they’re becoming more common, but how effective are they really in mountainous terrain like the area around Spanish Fork Peak?
It’s amazing that it was a family member who finally managed to pinpoint his location with a drone when the extensive search efforts didn't find anything initially. This makes me wonder if we should be advocating for more widespread use and training for drones in searches. If anyone has expertise or insight in this area, I’d love to hear more about what it takes to successfully utilize drones in these challenging environments.
