Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Damond Dawson? I can't stop thinking about how the family must be feeling, especially his brother, who was right there that horrific night. I know they were all trying to create something artistic with that video, and it's gut-wrenching to think about how things took such a dark turn. It must be so hard for them, knowing they had warned Damond about the dangers of that park. I hope the investigators are getting closer to finding out who did this. That park scene sounds chaotic, and I can only imagine how those moments will be etched in their memories. If anyone has any updates or thoughts, please share. It feels like this case desperately needs some resolution for the family to start picking up the pieces.
It's just tragic how many lives are impacted by the violence in areas like Foster Park. My heart really goes out to Damond Dawson’s family, especially knowing they had warned him about the risks. It’s terrifying to think that something as innocuous as filming a music video could end in such a brutal way. It must be incredibly difficult for his family to come to terms with this, especially since it sounds like they were trying to protect him as much as they could.
I read that the police are considering this might be gang-related, but doesn’t it seem like more could be done to protect young people in these communities or provide them with safer opportunities to pursue their passions, like music? It's a sobering reminder of how quickly things can turn violent. I hope the investigation makes some progress soon and brings the shooters to justice, for Damond and the other victims' sake.
