I came across this case recently and it's been weighing on my mind. It's truly devastating to think about what Darian's family and friends must be going through, especially given the circumstances in East Garfield Park. The neighborhood's reputation for high crime rates might make some people think this is just another statistic, but we have to remember that each victim is a person with loved ones who are left to deal with the aftermath. What's frustrating here is the silence surrounding the case. I understand the fear that comes with speaking out, especially when the perpetrators are potentially still around, but it's been several years and still, no arrests. There must be someone out there with information that could help. It's cases like this that really highlight the need for stronger community ties and trust in law enforcement, so people feel safe enough to speak up. Sending strength to Darian’s family and hoping someone finds the courage to come forward. It's never too late for justice.
