I’ve been following the case of Jonathan Cobble, and I feel for his family having to endure this long journey without answers. Something that really sticks out to me is the location of the crime. East St. Louis has been known for its challenging history with crime and violence, and this seems to be another instance where this has tragically affected a promising young man. It makes me wonder how many other cases are facing similar struggles because of the environment. Are there systemic changes that need to happen to really address these issues at the root? Jonathan’s community, family, and friends deserve some closure and peace, and I hope that a renewed focus on the environment can be a part of that solution. Sending strength and hope to all those still searching for justice.
