Does anyone else find it particularly troubling how the media initially misreported Tiara Richmond's case? It's so distressing to see a person misgendered and misnamed, especially in such tragic circumstances. It must have been so painful for her family, who lovingly accepted her true identity. Misreporting issues like these not only hurt grieving families but also erase the identities of transgender individuals who have already faced so much discrimination in life. It feels like a slap in the face to their dignity. We need journalists and media outlets to be more conscientious and informed, acknowledging the importance of respecting a person's identity even after they’re gone. My thoughts go out to her loved ones as they seek justice and recognition for Tiara. ?
