I was reading about efforts to curb violence in areas like the Austin neighborhood and couldn't help but wonder how they can be more effective. I know the city has tried to increase police presence and community outreach, but it seems like these measures aren't enough to prevent tragedies like Romille's. I'm curious to hear others' thoughts on what additional steps could be taken. Are there any successful programs in other cities that Chicago could model? It's so important to keep discussing and pushing for change so that no more families have to endure this kind of pain.
