Has anyone else been following the case of Deaunte Banks? I recently attended a community meeting where they spoke about the Murder Stand Down for Peace event that was organized in his honor. It was incredibly moving. Seeing Deaunte’s family and friends come together to remember him and advocate for an end to the violence really hit home. It’s frustrating that there has been so little progress in solving his case, and I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his loved ones must be feeling. It was touching to see the community supporting them and calling for cooperation to find justice for Deaunte. Has there been any talk about new initiatives to help solve cases like these or encourage more community involvement? I’m really hoping there’s some way to make progress here.
